Amon Tobin

Electronic music producer, he was born in Rio de Janeiro and lived between Brazil and Europe in his teens. Tobin settled in England in 1994, when he was already crafting the sound that would mix jazz, hip hop and electronica and make him well-known in the British alternative music circuit, firstly named Cujo, releasing the album "Adventures in Foam Intro". As Amon Tobin, he made the first CD, "Bricolage", in 1997. "Permutation" (1998) and "Supermodified" (2000) followed. The three albums, released on the Canadian label Ninja Tune, got good reviews, but only the second disc was released in Brazil. Tobin remixed the track "Defeitos 2: Curiosidade" for Tom Zé's remix disc "Postmodern Platos". He participated in the track "Samba da Benção", from Bebel Gilberto's CD "Tanto Tempo".
