Arthur Moreira Lima nascimento 16/07/1940

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Lima studied the piano from a very tender age, winning his first soloist contest at age 9. He decided to go for the art in 1956, getting a scholarship in France and remaining there for two years. Lima lived in Vienna and Moscow, establishing his name as a pianist. Back in Brazil, he continued as a soloist, recording local composers, such as Ernesto Nazareth. He has also flirted with popular music, performing with artists like Nelson Gonçalves, Ney Matogrosso, Raphael Rabello, Paulo Moura and the choro group Época de Ouro, among others.
