Demônios da Garoa
One of the most active vocal groups from São Paulo, it was lined-up in 1943 as Grupo do Luar. They achieved great success in 1951 and 1952 with two Adoniran Barbosa sambas: "Malvina" and "Joga a Chave". Partly responsible for Adoniran's biggest hits, they made the original recordings of such classics as "Saudosa Maloca", "Samba do Arnesto" and "Trem das Onze". They kept producing through the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, making it into the Guiness Book of Records in 1994 as the eldest group in the world still in activity.
