Dudu Nobre
Dudu Nobre started out his career at age 5, when he was given a cavaquinho. A protégé of drummer Wilson das Neves, Dudu played assorted percussion instruments while accompanying samba school Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel. His parents were open house enthusiasts, and used to gather their friends to make music, which caused Dudu to get used to being around big samba names like Beth Carvalho and Zeca Pagodinho. He was a member of various samba schools, perfecting his skills. Dudu went to law school, but dropped out. He became a back up musician, accompanying Zeca Pagodinho and touring the whole of Brazil and also abroad. Dudu had 60 songs recorded by different groups and musicians before releasing his debut album, Dudu Nobre, produced by Rildo Hora.
