Gang 90

The new wave-rock-pop band was fronted by composer and writer Júlio Barroso and emerged in 1981 during a music festival. Blending tropicalist, modernist and disco references, their first hit was the song "Perdidos Na Selva", released as a single on the label Hot. In 1983, they put out the album "Essa Tal de Gang 90 & Absurdettes", which featured the hit "Nosso Louco Amor", as well as trend setting tracks that preceded the absorption of electronic music in the country. Soon after that, the band would break up and the members went out for their solo careers and alternative bands/projects. A final album called "Rosas & Tigres" was released in 1985, with musicians and a concept totally different from the original line up.
