Jerry Adriani
29/01/1947
Jerry used to sing Italian songs that his grandmother taught him from a very early age. He learned how to play the accordion and took singing lessons in his early teens. In 1962, he became a crooner and sang with the group Os Rebeldes. His first album came out in 1964, with Italian songs only. It was so successful that CBS put out another one in the following year. He began deconstructing the Italian singer image in 1966, with songs like "Vivendo Sem Você" and "O Homem Triste". Jerry starred in a few movies. Through the 50s and 60s, he recorded rock songs and ballads, making dozens of albums and starting to compose, too. But his greatest hits have always been versions of Italian and American songs. In 1990, he made a CD with Elvis Presley standards only, and in 1998, he made "Forza Sempre", with songs by Renato Russo, his voice disciple.
