Sambalanço Trio
Founded in 1964 in São Paulo, Sambalanço Trio performed at the opening of the Juão Sebastião Bar, a bossa nova den in São Paulo. There, the group met American dancer Lennie Dale, with whom they put on a show which was on for months in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, and resulted in the record "Lennie Dale & Sambalanço Trio no Zum Zum". The group also made 3 other albums for RGE. Between 1965 and 1967, they played a key role in the Brazilian music scene. The Trio recorded, among other songs, "Nanã" (Moacyr Santos), "Deixa pra Lá" (Sérgio Augusto/ L.F. Freire), "Reza" (Edu Lobo/ Ruy Guerra), "Pra Machucar Meu Coração" (Ary Barroso) and "O Morro Não tem Vez" (Tom Jobim/ Vinicius de Moraes).
