Só Pra Contrariar
Pagode group lined-up in Uberlândia (Minas Gerais) in 1989 which became extremely popular while betting on the romantic approach to pagode. The debut album was released in 1993 and achieved surprising sales figures, thanks to tracks like "Que Se Chama Amor" and "A Barata". Along the years, the group searched for a more sophisticated image. Só Pra Contrariar became one of the most important pagode grups in Brazil when the CD "Só Pra Contrariar", released in 1997, sold 3 million copies. The members are: Alexandre, Fernando, Luis Vital, Serginho, Hamilton, Luis Fernando, Alexandre Popó, Rogério and Juliano Pires.
