Voz do Morro
Lined-up in the 1960s by Zé Kéti, the group provided the first opportunity for many musicians from the favelas to record their music. The group took three years of shows and rehearsals so as to make the first album - supposedly a demo tape that turned out so good that it was eventually released as an official product. The albums "Roda de Samba" 1 (1965) and 2 (1965) and "Os Sambistas" (1966) are also Paulinho da Viola's debut as a recording artist. The repertoire was written by the members of the group (Zé Kéti, Paulinho da Viola, Elton Medeiros, Nelson Sargento, Anescarzinho, Jair Costa, José da Cruz and Oscar Bigode).
