Zélia Duncan

She debuted professionally in the early 80s in Brasília and her debut as a soloist happened in 1987, in Rio de Janeiro. She released "Outra Luz" on Eldorado in 1990. In 1992, she recorded a track on a Dorival Caymmi songbook. In 1992, she switched her name from Zélia Christina to Zélia Duncan (her mother's maiden name). In 1994, the CD "Zélia Duncan" came out, featuring the hit "Cathedral" (a version of Tanita Tikaram's hit), which shed some light upon the singer, guitarist and songwiter. She recorded "Intimidade" in 1997 and toured Japan and Europe. In the following year, she released "Acesso", produced by Christiaan Oyens.
