A MÚSICA BRASILEIRA DESTE SÉCULO POR SEUS AUTORES E INTÉRPRETES - PAULINHO DA VIOLA E OS QUATRO CRIOULOS

The album was recorded live in 1990. It opens with Quatro Crioulos (Elton Medeiros/Joacyr Santana), where Paulinho is accompanied by the Four Niggers (Quatro Crioulos) themselves: Elton, Jair do Cavaquinho, Anescar do Salgueiro (playing the tambourin) and Nelson Sargento (playing the match box). The good music is combined with statements and stories about carnival, the samba and samba schools. Well-known sambas like O Sol Nascerá, Agoniza Mas Não Morre and Rosa de Ouro appear along with rare gems like Doce Melodia.

They also do a few numbers from the show Rosa de Ouro, which was turning 25 years, then: Só pra Chatear, Pam Pam Pam, Se Eu Pudesse and Rosa de Ouro.
