BIS CANTORES DO RÁDIO - ISAURA GARCIA
Isaura Garcia (2000)
Crítica
Cotação:
Isaura Garcia started to record at the old Columbia in 1941, but less than a year later she was at RCA. The first singer from São Paulo to become known nationally gathered hits in the ‘40s and ‘50s. She signed up to Odeon in 1956, making various albums with organist Walter Wanderley, her husband at the time, who used to make the lounge sound that is back on the parades, now. Although lounge is not the best approach to her way of interpreting sambas, tracks like Mensagem, De Conversa em Conversa, O Sorriso do Paulinho, Edredon Vermelho and Duas Mulheres e um Homem sound excellent. Água de Beber, Saudade Querida, Cansei de Ilusões, O Que é Que eu Faço?, Foi a Noite, Palhaçada and Hoje É pra Mim are other key tracks. The compilation includes rare gems like Mocinho Bonito (Billy Blanco), but the booklet lacks information (as usual on EMI releases).
