COLEÇÃO
Cassiano (2000)
Crítica
Cotação:
It takes no effort to enjoy Cassiano. He is the Brazilian relative of the likes of Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Isaac Hayes and Curtis Mayfield - noble soul music, reuniting the sophistication of jazz and an accurate pop punch. Assembled by singer Ed Motta, Coleção is the first and most careful compilation of Cassiano's works. The package is bilingual and the tracks have been chosen from three of his fundamental albums: Imagem e Som (RCA, 1971), Apresentamos Nosso Cassiano (Odeon, 1973) and the masterpiece Cuban Soul (Polydor, 1976). The disc features Cassiano's greatest hits, such as Coleção, A Lua e Eu, Salve Essa Flor, Ana and Primavera, along with little known gems like É Isso Aí, Já, Uma Lágrima and Casa de Pedra. Beautiful and elaborate harmonies plus careful arrangements.(Silvio Essinger)
