Crítica
Cotação:
Bossa nova allowed instrumentalists to come forward and some of them to become stars of the movement, such as drummer Edison Machado (1934-1990), leading an exquisite big band in this masterpiece. The astonishing arrangements were written by maestro Moacyr Santos. Maciel and Raulzinho (trombones), Pedro Paulo (trumpet), Tenório Junior (piano) and Tião Neto (bass) are some of the excellent musicians that accompany Machado in this disc. Key tracks: Menino Travesso (Moacyr Santos/ Vinicius de Moraes), Só Por Amor (Baden Powell/ Vinicius de Moraes), Aboio (J.T. Meirelles). Rich timbre combinations and bold harmonizations.
