CIRANDEIRA
Elba Ramalho (2001)
Crítica
Cotação:
Only new songs with delicate arrangements. Not all of the tracks stick to the ears right away, but the album is good. The title track is a nice ciranda written by Lenine. The xotes Onde Anda Você (Chico Pessoa and Zé do Norte) and Pra se Aninhar (by Targino Gondim, writer of Gilberto Gil's megahit, Esperando na Janela), the forrós Querendo Mais (Nando Cordel) and Pra Virar Xodó (João Gonçalves/ Fuba de Itaperoá) and the coco Sem Ganzá Não É Coco (Chico César) have come out beautifully.
The only re-recordings on the CD sound like new, too: Patativa (Vicente Celestino) and Forró de Surubim (Antonio Barros). Other nice tracks: Lua Vadia (J. Michiles), Entre o Céu e o Mar (Roger Henri/ Dudu Falcão), Estrela Soberana (Elba Ramalho/Geraldo Azevedo). This is the her first self-produced album, and Elba has done it very well.
