PRA LUA TOCAR
Eliana Printes (2001)

Cotação:
Zélia Duncan has followers. Eliana Printes is there to prove it. On her fourth CD, the singer finally tastes the radio waves with the song Crepúsculo de Uma Deusa (Mona Gadelha), one of the tracks on Pra Lua Tocar, a pop/folk/ballad album like the recent Zélia Duncan ones. Although it is well produced, the disc does not bring daring moments. The scattered attempts - Insensatez, in a slight drum’n’bass fashion; and Canto das Três Raças - a Clara Nunes hit from 1976, in a pop fashion - hit the water. They sound artificial. In fact, Eliana would be better off showing some versatility, because the lack of emotion is noticed throughout the 13 tracks. One or other track can be spared, such as O Céu Hoje à Noite (Adonay Pereira/ Eliana Printes), but the full album doesn’t. Nonetheless, her voice is powerful and she could have a future, if she manages to forge her own style and to be more energetic in her interpretations.
