Cotação:
On the road for 50 years (her debut album was a 78rpm from 1951), Inezita Barroso has maintained an extremely powerful voice, as if time hadn't passed for her. On this album, all of the songs portray the city of São Paulo. The disc is half-instrumental, with the group Izaías e Seus Chorões interpreting little known chorinhos like Diabólico (Zinomar Pereira) and Saudade de Rubinéia (Josevandro Pires de Cavalho). Inezita sings gems like Bonde Camarão (Cornélio Pires), Viola Quebrada (Ary Kerner and Mário de Andrade), Perfil de São Paulo (Bezerra de Menezes), A Moda dos Paus D'Água, Marvada Pinga and Lampião de Gás. Inezita could well make it into the Guiness Book of Records as the singer who managed to keep her voice in shape for the longest time.
