After bringing Beto Guedes back into the market two years ago with the album Dias de Paz, it is now Sony's turn to rescue another member of the Clube da Esquina: Lô Borges. The strategy is the same: make the artist record old hits and take advantage of songs that have been recorded on other labels. Lô has written songs that have become MPB standards, such as Nuvem Cigana, O Trem Azul, Para Lennon & McCartney, Sonho Real, Tudo que Você Podia Ser, Paisagem da Janela, Vento de Maio, Um Girassol da Cor do Seu Cabelo.

The arrangements have been updated but not "modernized", and fortunately preserve the feeling of the original recordings. Nonetheless, it is expected that Sony will review Borges' deal and free him from the slavery of having to perform old hits over and over again. (Rodrigo Faour)
