The São Paulo-born singer, settled in the USA, shows once again her technical and aesthetic rules after the promising debut album, An Answer to Your Silence. The Poems of Elizabeth Bishop and Other Songs is a jazzy disc with no concessions. She wrote the music for four poems by the cult American poet Elizabeth Bishop (who lived in Brazil, for a while). Key tracks: In March, I Remember, Backfile, The Occasional Bliss. There are also songs featuring Luciana's own lyrics, such as the samba-jazz Daze and Do Tell. (Carlos Calado)
