O MELHOR DE VICENTE BARRETO
Vicente Barreto (2001)
Crítica
Cotação:
The bahian songwriter has a 20-year career and has been recorded by Ney Matogrosso, Mônica Salmaso, Quinteto Violado and Alceu Valença, with whom he wrote the hit track Tropicana. Now Vicente is releasing his first compilation, on the label Dabliú, including songs from his last three albums (he has made seven since 1980). With his clean guitar, Barreto goes through Brazilian rhythms like samba (Por um Fio), toada (Toada da Lua), Jorge Ben-like pop (Suinguiando o Coração, one of the best in the album) and reggae (Talvez Você) along the 15 tracks. Other fine moments: E a Turma Chegando pra Dançar, Menino Pandeiro and A Cara do Brasil. The album features a previously unreleased track, Cisma.
