The former police officer traded the law for a bohemian lifestyle, and was very successful during brief moments. This 1957 album features obscure gems by obscure songwriters (except for Monsueto Menezes); nonetheless, original and nice ones. Formiga, Tragédia no Circo, Dança Alucinante and Giro Pelo Norte are only some of the coolest tracks. The album was released in the U.S.A. in 1967 (on CBS, currently Sony), but Ary Cordovil remained quite anonymous. It is worth redescovering this lost link of the syncopated samba.
