SÉRIE 2 LPS EM 1 CD: "Luiz Gonzaga & Fagner" e "ABC do Sertão - Gonzagão & Fagner 2"

Luiz Gonzaga recorded two albums with Fagner by the end of his life, in 1984 and 1987 (Gonzaga died in 1989). In the albums, they reviewed most of the king of baião's repertoire. Fagner appeared in these albums in a time when radio stations were contaminated with crappy romantic ballads, so he became very popular. Nonetheless, he was also coming to terms with part of his fans who praised the northeastern roots from which he had drifted. And he is at home playing forró with Gonzagão. In the first disc, the tracks are less obvious: Sangue Nordestino, Corrida de Mourão, Cigarro de Paia and Feira de Gado. Things get hot when the standards come up. The reviews of No Ceará Não Tem Disso Não and O Chêro da Carolina are remarkable. Luckily, the second disc does not feature as many medleys as the first. Vem Morena got a definitive version and the social call present in Vozes da Seca is still very contemporary. ABC do Sertão, Xamego, Noites Brasileiras and Derramaro o Gai also display a careful approach, turning out as good as the original versions.
