Cotação:
After releasing the posthumous São Paulo Confessions, first and only solo album by the Yugoslavian composer and producer rooted in Brazil Suba, the Instituto Suba (Suba Institute) puts out something radically different. Você e Eu, by the duo Jo&Tuco (Jo de Souza and Tuco Freire) ignore the electronic creations that made Suba famous, accurately placing their bets on an unplugged ambience - voice, piano (Jo) and double bass (Tuco), with occasional drums/percussion, brass and acoustic guitars. The result goes beyond the piano bar effect, sophisticated and tight - Jo and Tuco are married and have been performing together for ten years. Finest tracks: Two Kites (Tom Jobim), Migalhas (Lupicínio Rodrigues/Felisberto Martins), Vela no Breu (Paulinho da Viola and Sergio Natureza) and Tanto Tempo (written by Jo, no relation with Bebel Gilberto's). Very good for relaxation.(Nana Vaz de Castro)
