PRA FUGIR DA SAUDADE - CÉLIA e ZÉ LUIZ MAZZIOTTI
Zé Luiz Mazziotti / Célia / Paulinho da Viola (2000)
Crítica
Cotação:
Although Paulinho da Viola's personality can be described as simple and shy, the same adjectives do not apply to his music. It's been 19 albums, so far, not to mention guest appearances. This here is the second album to be exclusively dedicated by other artists to his works - the first one, Só Paulinho da Viola, recorded in 1994 by the group Galo Preto, is fully instrumental. Pra Fugir da Saudade was made by two experienced singers, Célia and Zé Luiz Mazziotti. Both are sensitive enough to capture the subtle ways used by Paulinho himself to interpret his own songs. The repertoire features a few obscure compositions, such as the title track, Tudo se Transformou and the syncopated samba Cadê a Razão, whose arrangement was written by Maurício Carrilho. Other fine tracks: Timoneiro, Coisas do Mundo, Minha Nega, Pode Guardar as Panelas and Pecado Capital.
