Água de Moringa
Choro group assembled in 1989. The usual repertoire features classic and contemporary choros and authors, such as Guinga, Hermeto Pascoal and Radamés Gnattali. The group made its debut album, "Água de Moringa", in 1994. It was also released in Europe, Asia and North America, and they played shows in France and Portugal. The follow-up to that album, "Saracoteando" (1998), yielded two awards to the band: best group and best arranger (Josimar Carneiro), both in the Instrumental Music category. In 2000, they released a third album, with previously unreleased music by Pixinguinha.
