Hyldon
17/04/1951
One of the finest representatives of Brazilian soul music (along with Tim Maia and Cassiano), the Bahia-born singer, guitarist and songwriter was a member of the group Os Diagonais (with Cassiano) and played with Wilson Simonal, Tony Tornado and Tim Maia, besides producing albums by Jerry Adriani, Erasmo Carlos and Odair José. His greatest hit moment happened in 1975, with the ballad "Na Rua, Na Chuva, Na Fazenda", also the name of his first solo album. That disc featured other big hits such as "Na Sombra de Uma Árvore" and "As Dores do Mundo". In 1976, Hyldon recorded the album "Deus, a Natureza e o Amor", without repeating the success achieved in the previous year. He was rescued in the 90s due to the interest of bands like Kid Abelha, who reviewed "Na Rua, Na Chuva..." and Jota Quest, who reviewed "As Dores do Mundo".
